Eventually by July in the not too distant future, we will be having elections. .Before you vote fellow forum warriors, ask yourselves: Why do people in their 20s and 30s want to dedicate time and energy working for free, on a last gen free to play game?
The short answer, is to try to play a role in what's left for Dust. Push some of our own ideas through, and see if we can tell the devs what's what. Port to PS4! Buff this! Nerf that!
All of us forum warriors do that, any post that gets a blue tag is immediately set upon for debate and scrutiny regardless. Partly why I use rattati's quote in my sig. Saying it's because we love the game is about as vanilla as it gets. If you ask me why I didn't make it last time around is because I did play it a little too safe, got knocked out at the 9th out of 20+ contenders.
The reason why i'my running is that I understand that's not how it works. Either your going to be constantly at odds with the devs and your other cpm members or become yes men. Some people running are too far on either side of the fence. My forum posts show I have been critical (to put it mildly) of devs at times and very supportive of devs at other times. The attitude people should want for a feedback control group. Because context matters.
There's a few guys running that can give a good contextualised discussion, along with them, we could give ccp a full picture of everything game side.
Face it forum warriors, you are selecting your top 7 to work as a squad. And I am certainly arrogant enough to believe I can have a spot.
Ask me anything dust related if you want my personal view on it here.

Polish, getting the final kinks out balance wise, then a port to PC.
Considering what's been displayed at E3, dust doesn't stand a chance on next gen consoles. PS4 multi player is going to be dominated by games like battlefront.
On PC however, there is always a large enough niche for sci fi shooters to keep dust moving along.just take a look at Steam, and their free to play list player count. pre alpha games are played by massive niche market communities. You can can get dust to run at 60 fps easy at its current graphics level. It brings in eve guys as well.

Ask me anything dust related if you want my personal view on it here. Sure, let's diagnose you a bit then, shall we? What do you believe is the main aspect that attracts people to Dust 514, and how would you improve or work with it?
It's the teamwork, competitiveness, and the ability to stomp the crap out of players.
Teamwork : that's how built built up networks of friends, regular chat channels, corps and the like. Sure team deploy is coming, based on ratatti's trello board. But also some restrictions on 6 man squads, which I am against. 6 max has been the most useful number given a game with so many options.
Competitiveness: the majority of dust players are extremly competitive. ever wonder why vets get all teary eyed at the mention of closed and open beta? Besides broken promises? because nearly everyone was at a similar level of experience and sp. Thats when pubs were generaly fair. None of the power level gaps were really there yet. It was inevitable that gaps between noobs and vets would happen overtime. Finnaly its being adressed by metalevel but ccp took so long to separate players it's lead to
The pub stomp: Quite a few people like nothing more than putting on the prototype FOTM and stomping the living crap out of people. The only way to adress it is with meta level locking.

Like you said we love the game, do your best to keep it alive. Anything to do with nerfs and buffs and extra shiny stuff is merely fluff and not anything to take seriously.
There's way more competition on pc. It would have no chance on pc at all except for eve players and i am not up for playing eve and dust on two different monitors and ccp having to deal with hackers that will inevitably make their way in and trash a lot of the effort that the game requires.
The problem with the ps4 port is the level of market competition, which are already pretty high this year and are only improving. From just a visual standpoint dust isn't going to hold a candles to those releases, let alone with the limited resources available in shanghai. People are willing to play games with low res textures on pc.
The ground work for a pc port was laid with project legion. Now that legion seems dead, instead of rebuilding dust from the ground up as per legions original intentions, the simplest way to save the game from going out of business is a pc port.

What have you done to make you feel deserving of your arrogance? I cannot vote for you if your answer cannot even outdo even my lowliest of feats. I honestly have no idea who you are but I am willing to listen.
How long have you been playing? What have you done? Are you willing to submit to a urine drug test? Have you tried out all features of the game with rigorous vigor? FW on all sides, pc? pubs solo and squads? (too drunk to know if I am asking the right questions but answer them anyways) What is your primary role ingame and where does your expertise lie? Am I a better troll than sotapop? What do you think of tacos? Would you push my agenda no matter how ridiculous?
1. Saw the list of people running. 2. Open beta. 3.yes. 4. mostly. I haven't run pc for a good while. Too loyal to my old Corp to bail for a pc one. FW for any side if I can get in the queue. 5. minmatar logi, ads pilot are my primaries. I have all of the assaults, and logistics, 3 sentinels, 2 scouts, 2 commandos, and almost ever weapon at proto. I pick and choose which I use based on mood, and necessity. 6. maybe. 7. Delicious in the right hands, complete disaster set in the wrong ones. 8. If i believed it would help the game, yes I would.

Given access to presently available resources, if you were in Rattati's shoes how would you improve match quality?
Focus on improving the red line. Which involves several factors.
- Maps should have wide areas of combat. Push back the red line on larger maps.
- Parts of the red line should be far back enough to enable safe spawning in case of a stomp, but impossible to snipe from.
-get rid of all "location inaccessible ". It's nothing but a headache, serves zero purpose, and follow no logic or consistency at all in terms of where on a map I can or cannot call in a vehicle.
